The recent confrontation between Iran and the Zionist regime of Israel once again proves a crucial point that Israel is not as invincible as it is often portrayed. Their wall of arrogance can crack when faced with organised strength and principled courage.
On April 13, the world witnessed Iran launching over 300 retaliatory strikes against Israel, a bold and open response to the bombing of its consulate in Syria. Despite the deployment of Iron Dome, Arrow 3, and military support from the United States and its allies, the fact that the strikes caused panic in Tel Aviv was a significant blow to the Zionist regime.
However, behind the announced ceasefire, the flames of hatred, greed, and occupation continue to burn. This is why Muslims must not be complacent, let alone deceived by a so-called “peace” that is merely a tactic of the enemy to weaken the spirit of resistance among the Ummah.
As reminded by the President of PAS, Dato’ Seri Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang, in his article "Peace That Deceives", the kind of peace orchestrated by Western and Zionist powers is merely a ploy to extend oppression and occupation. Muslims are often told to ‘make peace’ precisely when they are being oppressed while Zionist cruelty continues unabated.
"When we are attacked, we are told to make peace. When we are oppressed, we are told to be patient. When we are killed, we are told to negotiate. This is not a just peace; it is a form of humiliation that deceives the Muslims," said the PAS President.
Israel: A Giant Propped Up by Western Powers
Iran’s success is not only military, it has shattered the long-standing myth of Israel’s invulnerability. More and more people now realise that the strength of the Zionist regime does not lie in its own absolute power, but in its reliance on major powers such as the United States and its allies in Europe.
Without this support, their defence systems would falter. In fact, reports from Sinar Harian clearly stated that the regime might have already collapsed had it faced regional threats on its own.
Unity of the Ummah: The Key to Defeating the Enemy
During the 12 days of heightened tension, Malaysia was among the countries that stood firmly in solidarity with Iran. This not only reflects our firm stance against tyranny but also shows that the Muslim world still possesses independent and courageous voices.
However, such solidarity must not remain symbolic. It must be translated into real political, economic, and military unity. The Muslim world with over 1.8 billion people, abundant natural resources, and a glorious civilisation must no longer remain fragmented and vulnerable to manipulation.
Allah SWT clearly reminds us:
"And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided..."
(Surah Ali-‘Imran, verse 103)
This verse is not mere advice, but a divine command for Muslims to unite upon faith and a common struggle. Division only opens the door for enemies to infiltrate and destroy us from within.
What happened between Iran and Israel is a powerful signal: that the Zionist regime can be defeated if the strength of the Islamic world is united — not only with weapons and missiles, but also through diplomacy, economic power, and global Muslim solidarity.
Conclusion: Do Not Let the Flame Die Out
Although a ceasefire has been announced, the fire of conflict still burns. The Muslim world must not fall asleep. The enemy remains the enemy. They will continue seeking opportunities to oppress, dominate, and divide. Therefore, Muslims must rise and unite.
This confrontation must awaken the Muslim Ummah to the reality that we can no longer rely on the West. The time has come to chart our own path, build internal strength, and establish a truly independent, dignified, and respected Islamic power bloc.
Israel can be deterred. The Zionist regime can be weakened. As long as Muslims unite and return to the foundational principles of faith and brotherhood.
